Products for Pipe Line Industry
Polyurethane Pipe Rollers are a cost-effective, long-lasting solution to pipe laying applications. Idler or Guide rollers, hourglass rollers (‘V’ Rollers), drive rollers and stinger rollers are manufactured by Star Rubber Plant for use in both offshore & onshore pipe installations. Polyurethane rollers are used on pipe lay provide a strong, durable and long-lasting solution for the transportation of pipe. Urethane pipe rollers also ensure support, safety and proper function for pipe systems. This non-sparking and high load component is a great insulator as well. Polyurethane component parts are used by petroleum and electrical industries as it is superior to other materials such as plastic, rubber and steel. Rollers are molded to oversize dimensions allowing for final machining to exacting tolerances.
Rollers and Wheels can be machined to provide use on any surface or for direct contact with pipeline structures. Wheels & Rollers are for pipeline industry with precision bearings and axle manufacturing process controls that allow for ultimate performance of all products. Complete manufacturing control over the polyurethane moulding & Casting process allows to provide hardness rating from 60 Shore A to 75 Shore D. We present reliable products which all are widely used in different industries including
Pipe Manufacturing Companies
Pipe External / internal Surface Coating Companies
Oil field and Petroleum Services Companies
Offshore & Onshore Rigs
Construction & EPC projects
The types of pipe rollers that offer different benefits and uses are:
Idler / Guide Rollers – Straight cylindrical rollers with integral shafts and outside bearings
“V” / Hourglass Rollers – Hourglass shaped rollers for conveying pipe longitudinally. May have outside or integral bearings
Drive Rollers – Have integral shaft with keyway for sprocket or gear to turn roller
Stinger Roller- Have internal bearings and rotate about a fixed shaft
Cradle Rollers – provide a high degree of control to lifter and crane operators.
Polyurethane Guide Rollers
Polyurethane guide rollers are used during installation of piping and tubes to accurately feed the piping by keeping it centered in the feeder cradle. Star Rubber Plant can manufacture custom guide or idler rollers to meet your specific equipment requirements to provide safe, secure handling of any size pipe during installation. Our expert staff will assist you in designing guide rollers that will allow your pipe to move smoothly while keeping it properly aligned.
We can also manufacture polyurethane idler rollers to any size and thickness as per requirement, whether need rollers for new equipment or as replacement rollers. Our designs include integral shafts and outside bearings. Manufactured of the highest quality polyurethane especially for oilfield and offshore environments.
‘V’ Type Rollers / Hourglass Pipe Rollers
Hourglass rollers are designed and constructed for the protection and guidance of pipeline projects. The unique design of hourglass rollers provides stability for moving pipe. Pipe rollers are an essential piece of a pipe system for support, safety and proper function. All of our polyurethane pipe rollers are constructed out of polyurethane which offers excellent chemical and weather resistance in the field. Marine Urethane, Inc. builds every type of polyurethane pipe roller used on pipe lay industries worldwide.
V rollers, also referred to as V-groove track rollers, are used to convey piping during fabrication and assembly and move pipes and piping on your job site or offshore platform. They are also ideal solutions for handling large round shafts, tubing or rollers during manufacturing or in production environments.
Polyurethane drive rollers offer reduced vibration, excellent shock absorption, reduced friction and a smooth operation. Roller journals can be keyed for a drive roller application, or machined to specific tolerances to fit in bearings.
Stinger Roller has internal bearings and rotates in a fixed shaft for reduced friction and a smooth operation.
Polyurethane Cradle Roller
Cradle rollers are an essential part of pipeline construction and utility projects, as they can provide a high degree of control to lifter and crane operators. Most polyurethane rollers are mounted and remain in place while pipeline or other materials are drawn over them. However, cradle rollers are different, as they are almost always attached to a lifter to augment the lifter’s function. This is critical, because oil and gas companies are challenged constantly to execute their projects as safely Polyurethane cradle rollers are simple components that are made with an ingenious design. A typical cradle consists of a steel-reinforced frame that is attached to the crane itself. The frame splits into a pair of arms, and from each arm is suspended a looped cable.
Polyurethane rollers and spacers are strung on the cable, creating a sling that consists of a pair of double looped cables.
There is enough space between the frame and the slung cables to slot a pipeline of any size through, so polyurethane cradle rollers are a standard fixture in the pipeline construction industry There are several reasons why this is the case, including:
Polyurethane rollers greatly improve control of the pipeline
Polyurethane affords precise movement of the pipeline
Lift operators can freely shift the cradle to any position on the pipe without fear of causing damage, or even scuffling the line
